90-day
trial period
This position is open for a 90-day trial. Show us clean, correct work and it becomes a long-term seat in a shop with steady year-round volume.
- 01Diagnose engine, drivetrain, electrical, and emissions systems using factory-level and aftermarket scan tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes
- 02Repair complex electrical faults — sensors, wiring harnesses, control modules, and communication networks
- 03Service automatic, dual-clutch, and DSG transmissions, including fluid service, component replacement, and adaptation resets
- 04Perform brake service: pads and rotors, resurfacing, hydraulic repairs, and ABS diagnostics
- 05Diagnose and repair A/C and cooling systems — recovery and recharge, compressors, evaporators, radiators, water pumps, thermostats
- 06Complete oil, filter, and fluid services with OEM-spec synthetics and reset service indicators
- 07Carry out scheduled maintenance and multi-point inspections, documenting findings and recommended repairs
- 08Handle suspension, steering, and alignment-related repairs as assigned
- 09Perform software updates, programming, and module coding where applicable
- 10Road test before and after repair to verify the complaint and confirm the fix
- 11Follow manufacturer procedures, torque specs, and technical service bulletins
- 12Explain diagnoses to the service advisor in plain language the customer can understand
- 13Keep a clean bay and protect customer vehicles — seat covers, floor mats, fender covers, every time
- 14Handle and dispose of oils, refrigerants, and coolants per EPA and shop policy
Standing, bending, kneeling, and overhead work for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs; shop environment with noise, heat, and automotive fluids.
Required
Must have
- 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience (import experience strongly preferred)
- Proven diagnostic ability on modern electrical and electronic systems
- Own set of professional hand tools
- Valid Florida driver's license, acceptable driving record
- Able to read wiring diagrams and interpret factory service information
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
A plus
- ASE certifications (A1–A8 or Master Technician)
- Factory training on European brands — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi/VW, Porsche, Land Rover/Jaguar
- Experience with factory-level diagnostic platforms — ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS, PIWIS, or equivalent
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Comfort maintaining shop equipment and mentoring newer techs
